Drawing is one of the most crucial skills anyone who carries a firearm should practice. Most defensive handgun shootings are over in a matter of just a few seconds; a fast, safe and efficient draw stroke can be the difference between life and death. However, there few places where you can learn and practice these skills. The need for a class on this topic is more important than ever with the large influx of new gun owners, we aim to remedy this need.
The Drawing Fundamentals class is a short 1-hour clinical class designed to introduce students to the basic concepts to safely and efficiently deploying your handgun. These skills are crucial if you depend on a firearm for your personal safety. Students will practice drawing both dry and live fire; engaging targets at varying distances with instructors working to help you refine your technique.
PLEASE NOTE. Due to safety concerns students may only use hip holsters from the 4 O'clock position forward. (No Ankle, small of the back, shoulder, fanny pack etc.) Holsters MUST cover the trigger guard and be a proper fit for your firearm.
Make sure you have everything you need for the class before class day.
Sturdy belt
Holster
Minimum 50 rounds of ammunition
Eye and Ear protection
If you have questions about what holsters are acceptable for this class please email our lead instructor Nathan at nathan@sharpshooting.net or give us a call at 509-535-4444.
Drawing Fundamentals does not teach you to Load, Unload or Fire a handgun, if any of those skills are foreign to you we would recommend you take the Basic Handgun, Women & Guns and/or Handgun Marksmanship before taking Drawing Fundamentals.
